How You’ll Help Us Grow…

We are looking for a talented, smart and motivated marketing professional to join our portfolio of market-leading brands and events. This is a unique opportunity to work on Xeim’s core brands including Marketing Week, Festival of Marketing and Creative Review.

As Marketing Executive you will be part of a team responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing effective marketing campaigns to support our events and core brands within Xeim.

With a focus on Marketing Week’s flagship conference, the Festival of Marketing, this is a varied role employing the full marketing mix of both online and offline methods to generate interest and engagement, drive delegate bookings as well influencing subscriptions. You will possess multichannel experience including social media, websites, email advertising, paid social and display advertising. If you have experience of engaging audiences and turning that engagement into bookings and revenue, then we would like to hear from you.

To ensure success, you will be supported by a broader network of people from the brand and event marketing teams through to our data, digital and automation teams and partners and work closely with the Head of Marketing.


A Day in the Life Of…


  • Executing agreed marketing plans, producing high quality, response-driven marketing campaigns that integrate online and offline marketing activities
  • Write and edit high quality, compelling copy
  • Develop and maintain all relevant marketing and sales collateral to support marketing campaigns and defined commercial needs
  • Support the development of creative concepts; producing briefs and managing each stage of the design process to ensure all marketing material is approved and delivered to schedule
  • Use of the social media management tool scheduling regular posts
  • Creating and distributing acquisition and conversion email campaigns
  • Monitoring traffic from marketing activity and suggesting ways to boost this
  • Updating website


  • Updating audience and marketing reports, through maintenance of all data collection points
  • Working with Social Media Manager and digital ad agencies to support the paid social campaigns ensuring to align in organic activity to boost reach and impact across social channels
  • Regular status updates provided to key contacts on progress and any potential campaign concerns


  • Contribution to monthly marketing reports pulling in all relevant information on audience and campaign performance
  • Monitoring of key competitor activity


  • Feeding into a wider Xeim marketing strategy
  • Supporting on Marketing Week’s other event campaigns including the Leadership Summit and Marketing Week Awards


What We Need You to Have…

Behaviours and Knowledge

  • Understanding of marketing principles, developments and new techniques and demonstrated experience in campaign management
  • Project management and organisation skills and ability to manage simultaneous projects to tight deadlines and to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of audience and products
  • Highly motivated, creative, energetic and resourceful
  • Web production experience including use of programmes such as WordPress, Photoshop, ExactTarget and online tools such as Canva.
  • A collaborator able to work with a variety of people and teams both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and a strong track record of creating compelling and effective communications
  • Proactive and accountable attitude to delivering objectives
  • The role has a lot of variety and you will be confident working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Copy writing, proof reading skills and attention to detail
  • ·Strong analytical skills and awareness of digital and online platforms
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of I.T. including Office packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook

Success Measures

  • Building engagement and loyalty for Marketing Week’s Festival of Marketing
  • A more engaged audience on social media as evidenced by comments, likes and shares of our content across channels
  • An increase in traffic to the Festival website from social media, search, and newsletters
  • An uplift in leads generated from the campaign
  • Demonstrating an ability to learn and improve marketing campaign performance
  • Taking time to keep your skills and marketing knowledge up to date
